Weapon Base Damage Increase Playtest
NERO® Weapon Base Damage Increase Playtest
Version 1.1 3-21-12
For NERO Rules: WAR Owners, Travis Fauber
This playtest is designed to promote the use of other weapons and to enchance the experience of those players using weapons other then the typical sword and shield style of play.
The first increases on this playtest will be for melee weapons and then missle weapons. The melee weapons increases will be based on the type of weapon being used based on tag and by size requirements in the 9th edition rule book.
Example: Arvil.s Long Axe base damage is four, not two.
Melee Weapons
Small:
Bludgeon (Mace, Hammer, etc…) - Base Damage 1
Dagger - Base Damage 1
Hatchet - Base Damage 1
Sap Base - Base Damage 1
Short:
Short Axe - Base Damage 3
Short Hammer - Base Damage 3
Short Mace - Base Damage 3
Short Sword - Base Damage 2
Long:
Long Axe - Base Damage 4
Long Hammer - Base Damage 4
Long Mace - Base Damage 4
Long Sword - Base Damage 3
Spear - Base Damage 4
Two Handed:
Polearm - Base Damage 5
Staff - Base Damage 3
Two Handed Blunt (Mace, Hammer etc…) - Base Damage 6
Two Handed Sword - Base Damage 4
Missle Weapons
Ranged:
Light Crossbow (12”) - Base Damage 4
Short Bow (24”-38”) - Base Damage 3
Crossbow (12”-24”) - Base Damage 5
Bow (36”-46”) - Base Damage 4
Long Bow (46”-58”) - Base Damage 5
Thrown:
Throwing weapons – Base Damage 1
Javelin – Base Damage 4

I'm not done I still have the ones for casters, did you see the Magic to Body one? I know I know you earth just wait I got a few here for your casting abilities as well!

Plus you wear chain don't forget the armor one . Also, I will be adding later tonight the Counterspell Playtest, Earth Scrolls Playtest, Improved Slays / Assassinates Playtest, and Torch / Lamp Playtest.
