Looking for help to make a shield

I'm new to the whole NERO experience, played some Rising before, played some AMTGARD in years gone by, and found out about a local NERO chapter and decided I'd give it a try.

I have some equipment already, but what I really need at the moment is a shield, and I was advised I should post on here, and look for an individual by name of Michael, to see if he would help me build one.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

well, either way works. I'm planning to attend the event on the 23rd, and I'd like to have one beforehand, y'know?

other than that detail, I'm willing to buy, or be taught to build, though I think I'd prefer being taught to build
