To all,

My clan of romani has just arrived in Docktown and I was hoping to find someone who new the lay of the land and the who's-who of the area. Also we find ourselves with a goodly number of those in tune with the earth or celestial magics, myself included, but lacking in those who are one with their blades, anyone who wishes to share in our food and drink but also in their skill with a blade is more than welcome around our campfire.

Romani!, that figures as we work to keep these lands defended from the Foul and Evil Monsters on a daily basis! .....

But NOW we must defend against GYPSIES! Of which of the nine guilds of Dalantia are you associated with!....
One can only be hopeful that you are not from those parts!

What an horrible cursed land Dalantia, However I am a reasonable Elf, but a Dalantia Gypsies I can not associate with!.....

I'm intrigued to here your story!

Worry not my " reasonable elf " friend I am not from nor have I ever been to Dalantia. However I have heard less than favorable things about my kind there and should the rumors hold true, though I am not one to value gossip, they shall hold no favor with me either. You can expect none of their silliness from me or my clan we adhere to a code of honor for we are true and proud romani! As for my story I was but a simple traveler with a few childhood friends but as we wandered our group has grown into something I am proud to be Bandoleer of, many of our clan are not romani by blood but by deed. All of them have their own story to tell and I will let them be the ones to share it. And our reason for leaving the land we once knew? A little fresh air...and maybe a little treasure too.

Bandoleer Mormegil,

Well allow me to be the first to introduce you to Naringal!.......

First, I am NOT YOUR "reasonable Elf", I maybe addressed as Master Amasai.

Tho I am pleased to hear that you are not associated with the Gem faced fool across the river! While I do not know what you have heard, what I say hold merit, and not some silly rumor nor gossip!

If you and your friends decided to stay in Docktown, well I guess I will allot you a moment of my time, and hear your tales, and learn of skills you each have, other then the obsessive noisy drinking nonsense that seems most Gypsies are custom to!

Kouga,

I'm afraid we haven't meet?, yet you feel inclined to question me? I guess that is understandable from a Wolf Pup!.....

I never said the Dalantia, where other Romani, but Gypsies like Mormegil here! But allow me to share with you.....

I and my brothers have traveled these last for many moon cycles, and visited numerous lands, made a many of friends.... yet on a Visit to Dalantia, we found a land ruled and run by Gypsies, at this time, I considered it an honor to learn about there lands.... However they where not as "educated" as one would have given them credit... we found ourselves in a Land with Laws they didn't honor, where certain people was allowed to break certain laws but not other, where the "claimed" sheriff would rather Drink then protect the guest to his lands..... and at what cost to me..... Our LIVES and all possession... the reaction that followed was even MORE shocking, the solution.... "Ah! it was a misunderstanding!, lets drink and forget about it" ......

Since that time, I have no respect for Gypsies..... and there careless lifestyle!.... However as an Intelligent and Skilled Elf, I must be accepting that maybe, there not all alike, but then must be proven with action not mere words!

I'm sorry "Master" Amasai but I believe you have digressed from the original intent of the question posed, if you are not willing to help us then please either direct us to someone who will or them to us. I find this entire conversation to be a complete waste of time so far and would enjoy it greatly if you would show us the lay of the land and maybe to some swordsmen. Also if you are interested in listening to our stories then I would be glad to share mine with you after you have finished with the original question.

Greatings fellow adventurers new to these wonderous lands. I am Hetrood Van de Groond, Mystic Wood Elf of Scholarly persuation. I may not be the blade you seek but I am willing to share my knowledge of Earth and Celestial magic with you in exchange for setting at your campsite and drinking some hooch.

Master Amashai, I am shocked at your behavior, I had thought you to be a better elf than most I have met. I do understand that you and your brother suffered at the hands of a few isolated gypies in the land of dalmations, but is that really reason to hate and mistrust all gypies? That is more reminisant of the ideals of Quentari elves than an Amani elf such as you. I say that we let this spat subside and get back to what we are here for, conquest of this land.

Fellow new adventures I do not know much of this land other than what information I have received from Master Amasia. Appearently their are 3 Dwarvian smiths in the lands, I would assume that at least one of them would be a fighter or templar. The other viatal information is that we are under seige by a large force of multiple creatures led by an old green lady. My studies indicate that this old lady is a Hag, and Hags often will travel in 3s and can cause major trouble when aligning their powers. So prepare your battle magics and healing potions, we are in for a long hard fought battle.

I would also recomend setting down with Master Amasia to have a conversation with him. The local tavern does have a good selection of fine elven wine.

Regele Pasere, I have but the purest intent into helping any and all new adventures to these lands!, However I feel it would be useless for me to bother in Sharing what I know, and the skills we have at our disposal with "Gypsies" of care free intent.

Maybe I did come across a little too strong, however I have been fighting and defending in the lands of Naringal for some time now, and do not wish to see my hard work, interrupted for the like of a "good time". Therefor it is for that reason, I offered to share a moment of my time, with your Bandoleer, once it was clear that you where not from across the river! ....

Currently in this small village, I am your only help, as the other from the area are assisting in defending the mines....

If it is Magical Knowledge you seek, I would be the one you should seek out... the title of MASTER is an earned title, for my diligent and hard work.

If is a swordsman you seek, then my brother Zane, would be the best for training new adventures as yourself.

Hetrood, I willing to admit I may have come to a hastily conclusion, but with Dalantia, just across the ways, it was my assumption they've traveled here.... and I do not have the time to deal with those not interested in defending these lands!.... With the plans on construction of the Mage's Guild, along with clearing the Mine, protecting the Docks, and Freeing Haven! .... I need the best!, not some carefree Gypsies that are going to cost me my life or that of my friends!

Again to ALL! - as I stated earlier, I would be more then happy to meet with you and learn your story! ...

Hetrood,

I do thank you, for those kind words. As I told you, I am much more understanding than my Quentari cousins, but do need to not jump to conclusions!

The Establishment of the Mage's Guild, is currently one of my top priorities, and I have been working it at for sometime now, but now placing my fullest dedication into it. Of course those skilled in the ways of Earth or Celestial Magics will be most welcome to join up at the guild, however will be some restrictions and requirements! .... All of those have not yet been worked out!.... yet!

But I assure you once underway I will inform you.

Hetrood I received you message, and responded.

As to laws of this land! .... Naringal is currently a land without laws, One is expected to behave has their character merits, willing to take responsibilities for there actions ..... ( Believe you me I have no problem being the one to Kill you, preform the Resurrection, then send you back to death) ...... So laws are simple, Your Actions, Your Consequences!

Now as to Chaos! ... there are few in Naringal who do not like the use of this Magics, However as an Earth Caster, I believe that once one understands the powers of Chaos and balance it creates, it should be a perfectly acceptable form of DEFENSE!

Those wishing to learn more about Chaos Magic, may wish to seek out Master Vaylen......

*sent via courier*
Gentlemen,
I offer my apologies for not being able to greet you at the docks at this time. It is welcoming to hear that there are others gifted in the arts of magic to join us in these lands. As you may have heard the attacks on our dwarven allies in Haven have usurped the attention of myself and my brother Terik. Currently we are limited in our knowledge and skills in cartography. Included is a crude map of the lands that may be of some use to you. As the Romani are known for their gifts in artistry, I would welcome anyone to take upon themselves the onus of cartographer as I am incapable of portraying an accurate mapping of the lands.

Bandoleer Mormegil, I would ask for the numbers of your clan members and other newcomers who have arrived in these lands with you. It is my hope to help supply your kith and kin with some limited supplies that may assist you (and thereby us) in these lands. Also as a wizard of earth magics, I would welcome a conversation with your earth casters as I may be able to assist in offering some helpful guidance.

And please forgive Lord Cirin, I mean Master Amasai’s tone in his first address. Indeed the Amasai clan have endured much in their travel and following our most recent attacks and therefore Master Amasai’s words may have been clouded by fatigue and stress. It is true that many gypsies have offered us a distasteful prejudice in our travels, however your words have shown your clan to be far more competent than others we have been forced to endure.

Though I would love to inform you more of these lands and what dangers your may face, my attention is prohibitively limited at this time. I will continue correspondence at my earliest convenience.

Friend Vaylen,

What wonderful news to hear from you, as I know the defense in that direction cannot be easy! .....

I must admit in all my travels, I believe that to be the worst insult you have ever stated! Lord Cirin!, HA what an excuse for a noble!, I wish to have NO ties to those of that KIND.... if I come across that way, LET me be the FIRST to apologize.....

I stated that I may have concluded too early about this clan (There so many, it hard to tell them apart) but seems as tho they have good intent, which is again why I am willing to set down with them...

Master Amasai,
I am extremely pleased to have the help of one such as yourself and I would personally like to say that as a Biata you will have no such tomfoolery from me as you would from the gypsies of Dalantia.

Master Vaylen,
I am extremely interested in accepting your guidance as I am an scholar whom specializes in earth magic (as you understand I despise celestial). I also must say that I hold to no beliefs that would limit the use of either side of earth magic.

If there is anything that I can assist you with, please send me word.... to my private cabin (micah(at)orderofamasai.com), I know that I for one will feel much better having other Earth caster around!.... as times get rough being only Vaylen and I tending to all the mending of the adventurers!

Hetrood, I look forwards to speaking with you as you seem a respectable man with ideals not to far from our own. As for our hooch Amina Pasere our brew-mistress, and Regele's wife has prepared several barrels of our finest and they are ready to be served to all our new friends in Naringal. I am sure some of your magical knowledge would be greatly valued by the people of my clan, myself included.

Vaylen, I wish to thank you heartily in advance for all the help you have offered. We number seven but are sure to grow for we are quick to accept not only romani but anyone who has proven themselves worthy and like minded to the romani ideals. We look forward to sharing in your knowledge as many of us practice earthen magic ,including my self and a few others are practitioners of celestial magic. You had mentioned the need for a cartographer as it just so happens Regele has expressed a new found interest in the subject and has already begun drawing a few simple ones. We must speak as to the area you wish mapped out and arrange an a party escort for him to that area to begin surveying.

On a more general note anyone who wishes to construct a mage' s guild in the area has the full support of the entire clan.

Master Amasai,
I am very excited to know that we may indeed get along, also I am glad that you are as understanding and aware of all facets of earth magic as I am as I have had less than understanding counterparts before. Now as to your question to our Bandoleer there are four earth casters and two celestial ones. I however would like to state that I am the only one who has solely focused on studying earth magic while my brethren Romani have focused on their swordsplay and craftsmanship as well as their magic.

I was unsuccessful in sending a message to your private cabin, is there any other place that I could send a message too?

To all,

If you are interested in helping in defending Docktown please send a letter to Micha Amasai and he will take care of making arrangements for you. If anyone wishes to contact me they may reach me here in Docktown (enickgreycloak@yahoo.com). My time is limited as I'm busying taking care of Avalon's Crown interests in these lands.

I'm also looking for Archmage Kelvaren of Avalon's Crown. If anyone sees or hears from him have him send me a letter when he gets a chance.

To Vaylen,

If you can send me a message here in Docktown (enickgreycloak@yahoo.com).

Master Amasai,
I am afraid that Regele was mistaken we have three practitioners of each school in our clan.

Master Vaylen,
I regret to inform you that I was incorrect in saying there were seven of us, sadly Kouga's brother Tollismir has been called away on business and will not be rejoining us for some time so only six of us will be in Docktown to revive the help you had mentioned. I hope that this causes you no inconvenience.

New in Town Empty Sailor's Warning

Post  Admin Sat Aug 07, 2010 5:42 pm

Ameana,

I don't post on here, I never have time for it. But I feel like I should tell you a tale I was told when I first came to Naringal. When the first expedition and adventurers came to these lost lands. They heard tales of strange magic, fallen kingdoms, great treasures, and powerful creatures that held this land for years. Who knows how the old kingdoms fell, but its known the neighboring kingdoms and even Evendarr wouldn't claim this land. Because of the great power of arms and magic the factions of this land hold.

Either way I'm rambling, when this first expedition came a female mystic wood elf told a few of the sailors. She did a divination with tarot cards seeking advice and insight into this land. She said she felt like someone or something was watching her after the reading. I give you this advice try not to do any fortune telling about the land it, something, some one, or possibly many of those formentioned things might come looking for you. If I was your husband I would make sure you stuck to others fortunes with the hope you don't get glimse into something darker in these lands.
