Just a reminder
To all,
I was thinking last night when the power went out, do my casters remember its memorization here at SWV. I started to wonder since a few of yea have traveled to chapters where it is cast on the fly. Do you guys write down your spells for the day before you start adventuring or have you guys been doing cast on the fly just casting anything from that level?
Example:
I can memorize only one fifth level spell per slot it can be a Shield Magic or Silence or Stone Bolt or Purify Blood / Taint Blood (This Earth spell is reverse able)
Also, I just wanted to clear something up that came up at the last one day. If a spell is shield magiced, reflected, resisted, cloaked, or baned it is lost. If a spell misses its target, dodged, returned, or phased it can be rememorized again. You can not rememorize another spell just the one you threw.
I mention this to help make you all better players and the fact that some of you are going to WAR. They do memorization as well for spells, let me know by posting here if you have any questions and how you cast your spells memorization or cast on the fly.

Re: Just a reminder
Hey Travis,
Thanks for the clear up! ...
So I created this chart to help us, and some of you may find it useful! (Now they do not have all the spells on them...but most of them)
Earth - http://orderofamasai.com/UploadImages/Earth_spell.pdf
Celestial - http://orderofamasai.com/UploadImages/Cest_spell.pdf
I think most chapters we've played at have been Memorization.... (Oh but how I love COTF!)
Again thanks for all the help!....... and maybe consider Cast on the Fly as an option?

Michael,
There is a ingame reason why you guys can't do cast on the fly. Maybe one day you guys will figure out what to do and you can be cast on the fly.

Re: Just a reminder
oooh most intriguing........ Maybe I should be focusing on that........ Humm.......
Re: Just a reminder
I like mem myself right now... its easier to just remember the spells I like (which is why i had no idea that awaken cures charm...) and more of a challenge to pick the spells that are the most useful in most situations. But I did not know that you could remember a dodged spell. I also didn't realize you had to re-memorize the same spell of the one missed. (which makes reversable spells so much more versitile... )

spell sheet
I was going to attach a copy of my spell sheets, but apparently I can't. If anyone wants one, I can email you a copy. Send me a PM with your email address if you don't want to post it.
Below info I wrote before I realized I couldn't post them.
I usually print these front and back so that 1 sheet gets me through a whole weekend.
On these sheets I draw a line through everything I am don't have memorized. For example, if I memorize 3 Magic Missles, then I leave 3 circles empty and just put a line through the rest. Then I can mark off each magic missle that I use and can't rememorize. It is tempting to fill these out before the event, which is OK for the first night, but you may change your mind if plot gives you some additional info on what you will be fighting, etc. So I recommend that you fill each one out while you are doing re-up.
These are just for Celestial, but can easily be modified for Earth. Alot of the spells are the same.
Oh and you may want to take some of the excess circles off before you print them.
