NEED WEAPONS

To the Veteran LARPS of this group who are going to the Mod-day the 18th of this September month I have a request.
If u happen to have old boffer weapons u would be willing to sell or give to the other new LARPers it would be greatly appreciated.
Also if u do not have any if u were buy the stuff and make them you would defiantly have a buyer.
Also and old costume pieces u might have as well.

I will not be able to attend the mod day. But I can bring some old costume pieces to the 2 day event in Nov. For boffer weapons I would check with Vaylen to see if he has any weapons you can use. I would suggest that you try your hand at boffer smithing. Get a group of your friends and experiment with boffer and packy making.

all we need is short swords and a polearm. even if its just for use for the day. id like to make sure we have enough.

well i'm obviously bringing my old boffer polearm and since ya'll and micheal's crew ain't playin together that should be fine. And if anyone wants it they can take it home with them. I haven't got much material left but i can make another short sword.

I'm pretty much out of pipe and foam so if you have some extra that would be awesome. You can also pick up some of your stuff.

I can bring some pipe, but don't have any foam. Will see if I can find any. I will pick up my stuff (what do I have other than robes and pouch?).

Does anyone know of a good source of 5/8 in foam?? I can only find 3/8" and 1/2" thick foam.

Yea.... Lowes carries a 3/4 wall but only in the winter months!.... I am trying to get a case ordered through the company here for some 5/8!

I always get my foam from Do-It Best centers. The shipping is kind of high, but if you call the local store, give them the SKU#, have them order it, and have it shipped there, there is no shipping cost.

Here is another tip. When making short swords, claws, and other smaller weapons, the air conditioner insulating seals work great for making thrusting tips. It is essentially a 3-foot piece of 2"x2" open cell foam, just cut off a 2-3" section and then trim off the corners... Instant thrusting tip!!! Found at Wal-mart for about $3.00



After looking more closely at the picture, it appears my dimensions were a little off. Its actually 42" x 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" Still works great though, haha.
