weapons
Hey new guys i'm doing another round of weapon making this week and i'm more than willing to make you all some just let me know what kind of weapons you want. Now since ya'll are new I will say this boffers are great for starting on. you get to see what weapons you like and how to use them without spending the cash. but once you find the right weapon, you'll want something lighter and less bulky.

Re: weapons
I would second this. Start with a boffer and then see Michael (Micha Amasia) about some latex weapons.

Re: weapons
Hey All!
Daniel does make really good weapons! ... and prob really reasonable with pricing! ..... maybe even free!
As far as Latex goes I deal those! ... but can also assist with any boffer need! (I have plenty to loan out, and willing to sell for cost of material, so I can make more.....)
Travis! .... can make some Awesome Ultra Lights!
All in ALL.... I WOULD RECOMMEND DEALING LOCAL WITHIN THE CHAPTER..... Two reasons:
1) It support the local chapter, and makes the game that much better
2) YOU KNOW ITS GONNA PASS WEAPON INSPECTION

Re: weapons
Yeah my weapons aren't great (my crappy weapons are the ones always wrapped in cloth) anyways yes I make them for free cause i think it's just fun to make them when I have time and supplies. and i'm making a weapon for adam so might as well make one big mess. Joel i'll be more than happy to make two short swords for you. If anyone else needs anything let me know before thursday!

Re: weapons
but an axe is the best weapon to use. much better than a lame sword.

Re: weapons
the elf and the rood one are crazy. a staff is good defensive weapon, but an axe is a true weapon for defense and offense. it is by far the best weapon for use.

Hetrood,
I have not met ye that is true, and when I do ye had better be ready to defend ye bad attitude. And as for me title, I have earned them all by sheding blood in Naringal for over a year now. When ye have earned the right to make snide remarks about other adventures. I am afraid ye seem to be too much like Vaylen.

Re: weapons
NP your short swords are done (i used black fabric so you can sneak better with them at night) and adam's staff is done but I've still got some work to do on Josh's (i tried a scimitar shape and had an epic fail so I have to start from scratch )

Re: weapons
If you are trying to bend the PVC, for a scimitar it is really hard to get it bent just right. Some people use boiling water, but you have to have a really good cap on one end, some decent gloves, a funnel, etc. When I made curved blades, I heat the PVC over a stove burner. Apparently the fumes are toxic, so some good ventilation and a mask are highly recommended if you try this. And you will still need some decent gloves.

Re: weapons
toxic fumes! that explains so much... but you're right, really hard to get the right bend without totally f'in up the pipe. I think i'll just stick with the str8 pipe for now. besides, they are just beginner weapons, they'll probably end up like us and get an ultralight or latex when they find the right weapons for them.
